A disassembled screen with a poly-surface portrait reading aloud the dictionary derivation of the Arabic word Qāma, the piece attempts to isolate the gesture of utterance, at the same time that it collapses dimensions– the screen reveals itself as a 2 dimensional surface within which a multidimensional world exists; a parallel to language.
